Qualifications + Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, required . 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. + Experience: 3 years nursing experience, required. 4 years Oncology Nursing (medical or surgical) Experience, preferred. + Licensure/Certification: + Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. + ONS Chemotherapy Provider, preferred. + Certification in Oncology (OCN) , required. + Additional Skills (required): Will allow candidate to earn OCN and / or ONS Chemo Provider certification in the two year period following employment. BMT would also be accepted. + Additional Skills (preferred): + Excellent human relation skills, possess effective oral and written communication skills, possess leadership and problem solving skills, operate personal computer independently. + Demonstrates awareness of legal issues in all aspects of patient care. Displays excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possesses knowledge of NMG/FMC policies/standards. Demonstrates self-directed learning through completion of any orientation requirements, nursing certification/updates and continuing education programs. Possesses clinical assessment skills relative to the hematology or oncology patient/family. Experience and knowledge of the purpose and use of medications in the treatment of cancer.
