In this pivotal position, you will oversee the delivery of exceptional patient care, mentor nursing staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of oncology nursing practice. Key Responsibilities: + Leadership: Supervise and support a team of oncology nurses, fostering a collaborative and compassionate work environment. + Patient Care: Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and evidence-based care to oncology patients. + Quality Improvement: Participate in quality assurance initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. + Education: Provide ongoing education and professional development opportunities for nursing staff. + Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and organizational policies. Qualifications: + Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. + Experience: Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required; 4 years of oncology nursing experience preferred. + Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in the appropriate state required; Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification required. + Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; proficiency in oncology nursing practices. Qualifications + Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, required . 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. + Experience: 3 years nursing experience, required. 4 years Oncology Nursing (medical or surgical) Experience, preferred. + Licensure/Certification: + Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. + ONS Chemotherapy Provider, preferred. + Certification in Oncology (OCN) , required. + Additional Skills (required): Will allow candidate to earn OCN and / or ONS Chemo Provider certification in the two year period following employment. BMT would also be accepted. + Additional Skills (preferred): + Excellent human relation skills, possess effective oral and written communication skills, possess leadership and problem solving skills, operate personal computer independently. + Demonstrates awareness of legal issues in all aspects of patient care. Displays excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possesses knowledge of NMG/FMC policies/standards. Demonstrates self-directed learning through completion of any orientation requirements, nursing certification/updates and continuing education programs. Possesses clinical assessment skills relative to the hematology or oncology patient/family. Experience and knowledge of the purpose and use of medications in the treatment of cancer.
