We are currently recruiting for Supervisor – Open Pit (internally known as 'Supervisor Mine Operations Surface Ancillary') who will report directly into the Superintendent Production,  this role is being offered on a 8:6:7:7 roster.

 

The Open Pit Supervisor will support the Superintendent and Scheduler to ensure the safe and timely achievement of production targets by; providing effective supervision, development and communication to the Load & Haul Crew, Pre-Strip Mining Contractor and other Open Pit Personnel, maintaining compliance with the mining schedule and effective interaction and communication with the Load & Haul Crews, Mining Engineers and Geology personnel, Mobile Maintenance  and Contact Maintenance Providers, Mill and Crusher Control and Training Providers.

 

The role:

Monitor performance and initiate corrective actions with a particular emphasis on running surfaces, drill area preparation, working dig faces, and dumps.Co-ordinates the activities of the Ancillary team to ensure the safe, timely and effective execution of approved plans for the achievement of mine production targets. Specific focus areas include day to day plan compliance, bench heights, dump RL's, and road construction requirements.Provide support for the development of a safe and competent workforce by involvement in the recruitment, training and development and specifically performance management of team members.Personally demonstrate a positive attitude towards working safely and in compliance with the environment and community “Social Licence to Operate.”

Restricted Quarry Managers Certificate desirableDiploma in Front Line Management desirableHR class driver’s licenseExtensive experience in equipment operations from large truck & shovel mining operationsExperience in front line supervisor experience in large truck and shovel operationsYou will be a confident communicator and someone who can build relationships as well as lead teams efficiently.
