Responsible for directing the Administrative Assistant group, monitoring performance and work load, interpreting and implementing policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with Company polices and PUC and Federal rules/regulations. Responsible for backing up 24/7 Emergency Dispatch Center as needed.

What You'll Do:

Oversee and coordinate all field administrative assistant functions within Operations.Develop, plan, and support knowledge base of Peoples Operations Emergency Dispatch Center by developing and implementing training programs and learning opportunities.Supervise the training and instruction to Operations Specialist (Dispatchers) and Operations Support Specialist to ensure successful performance of job duties, including successful implementation of key operations center processes, polices, and metrics.Develop emergency center education materials, such as eLearning, Quick Reference Guides, training presentations, syllabi, and scope and sequence documents, as well as knowledge base tool maintenance. Provide guidance and support for other technical training programs and staff. Create training seminars and updates.Supervise employee productivity, including performance management.Monitor work load and assignments of staff members as needed.Resolve department issues and decisions affecting interdepartmental relationships. Conduct coaching sessions as needed.Track data, create and distribute reports as requires and requested.Request, collect, review and organize data and/or information and develop into reports for department use.Investigate questionable areas on reports, received information, etc. and make administrative decisions.  Analyze and send daily reports to managements.Other duties as assigned.

Secondary Duties:

Serve as back up supervisor for 24/7 Emergency Dispatch Center. Responsibilities include coordinating and monitoring staffing levels to maintain appropriate levels for emergency dispatch response; overseeing Dispatch operations to provide necessary emergency response to protect the public; maintaining consistent communications with staff; tracking data; and gathering and communicating details concerning major incidents to critical PNG personnel.Identifying bottlenecks and rerouting work as appropriate.Assist in developments, interpretation, and delivery of policies and procedures for department.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of company policies, practices and procedures, and PUC regulations.Full understanding of PNG organizational structure, practices and interdepartmental communications.Strong collaboration skills; effective, motivating leader; function with minimal supervision.Excellent computer software skills (such as Word, Excel, graphic software, etc.) and other Microsoft programs.Knowledge of SAP system.Strong planning, writing, data analyst, and time management skills.Detailed orientated, organized, able to prioritize assignments, analytical, able to use judgement to make decisions and solve complex, diverse and sensitive issues.

Experience/Education Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years experience in gas distribution/operations.Minimum 2 years of leadership experience and/or supervisory role required.Demonstrated ability to handle conflict effectively.Demonstrated experience developing and implementing processes.Demonstrated analysis and project coordination skills.Bachelor's degree preferred.Demonstrated experience may be substituted for preferred degree.Valid drivers license and ability to drive all PNG vehicles.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to:

30-40% travel to work sites of PNG.Perform sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.Operate a computer and other business machines including Blackberry in order to communicate to key PNG personnel during emergent and urgent situations.See, hear, talk, communicate, stoop, stand walk, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.Physical working conditions include exposure to noise.
