Supervisor - Packaging Operations

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$35.33 - $58.89

Organization Overview:

Lilly is expanding their state of the art Parenteral, Device, and Packaging Assembly Facility in Raleigh-Durham North Carolina.  This is an exciting opportunity to help build a state-of-the-art facility and Quality System from the ground up. 

Responsibilities:

The Operations Supervisor – Packaging is responsible for shift leadership for multiple packaging lines within the area and developing the technical expertise of manufacturing employees. This individual must ensure that the manufacturing lines are adequately staffed with trained/qualified employees. Strict adherence to safety and quality rules and procedures is required.  Direct line supervision for line leaders and operators.

Support Site Leadership to build a diverse and capable site organization by delivering area operational procedures, quality processes, and controls for the Packaging areas.Responsible for managing 15 – 20 direct reports working across multiple packaging lines.Ensures staffing and training for operators working on the packaging lines.Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely, and accountable for supporting all HSE goals.Communicate with the area manager on quality, equipment, and operational issues and areas for improvement.Responsible for the coaching, development, and performance evaluation of operators.Originate/Investigate deviations or operational quality issues.Act as both administrator and technical leader for operations, setting a good example through demonstrated knowledge of procedures, compliance with quality systems and use of proper technique.Responsible for shop floor execution as it relates to business plan, GMP conformance, and Operational Standards for Supply Chain Excellence (OSSCE)

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent3-5 Years Supervisory ExperiencePrevious experience in operations or directly supporting a pharmaceutical manufacturing operation

Additional Skill/Preferences:

Previous experience with highly automated equipmentPrevious experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and electronic batch release.Root Cause AnalysisOrganizational and Motivational skillsSkills in giving and receiving feedbackBasic computer skills (desktop software) are requiredExcellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skillsStrong organizational skills and ability to handle and prioritize multiple requestsStrong technical aptitude and ability to train and mentor others
