Responsible for supervising the work of painting both interior and exterior areas and equipment. Procures the appropriate materials and equipment and lays out the work for journeyman painters and helpers. 

Makes rough estimates of personnel and materials required for jobs and assigns them as needed. 

Inspects surfaces and equipment to be painted for damage from corrosion, weathering, and deterioration.

Determines most appropriate method of preparing surfaces and type of paint or other protective coating to be used, and lead in the resulting work. 

Supervises painting projects. 

Oversees the rigging of scaffolds with a view toward observing safety precautions. 

Inspects jobs in process and upon completion for both quantity and quality of work.

Obtains materials to be used for assigned projects. 

Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Manager or Director of Facilities. 

Responsible for communicating and coordinating with the other trades; Plumbing, Electrical, Carpenters, Boiler Room & General Maintenance on projects and construction work to assure timeliness and support for the overall success of the team. 

Responsible for completing annual Performance Reviews

Receive and complete work orders while maintaining accurate records of materials and labor used.
