Crouse’s Pharmacy team is hiring a Pharmacy Buyer Supervisor to supervise all purchasing and inventory control activities for all pharmaceuticals purchased for Crouse Hospital and non-drug supplies purchased for the pharmacy department.
Pay Range: $80,000- $86,000
Available Schedule(s): 7:00am-4:00pm
Pharmacy Buyer Supervisor Position Responsibilities:
+ Purchases all pharmaceuticals for the hospital either through the wholesaler or directly from the manufacturer.
+ Verifies product availability. Selects appropriate alternatives when product is not available. Consults with a pharmacist for drug selection when necessary.
+ Reviews order confirmations versus invoices for discrepancies in collaboration with the Inventory Control Assistant.
+ Maintains all invoices or other records as required by law
+ Works with Pharmacy Director and 340B Manager to maintain 340B program compliance
+ Performs staff management functions related to employee selection, on-boarding/orientation, coaching/development, staffing, work assignments, performance management and goal alignment as guided by hospital policy and procedures and collective bargaining unit agreement (when applicable).
Pharmacy Buyer Supervisor Position Requirements:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required. Preferred Associates Degree
+ National certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is required.
+ Licensed and registration from NYS as a Registered Pharmacy Technician.
+ Minimum 5 years’ experience in pharmacy with some purchasing, receiving, or inventory control related activities or similar experience
