Position Summary:
Manage regional pipeline safety program team. Lead and ensure compliance with DOT pipeline safety regulations including summarizing new regulations and develop procedures for field compliance. Lead and ensure compliance with DOT Operator Qualification Program. Lead and ensure compliance with DOT Public Awareness Program. Competent in completing pipeline safety related reports. Represent company in regulatory inspections and information requests. Assist in emergency callouts on pipeline releases. Support Pipeline & Terminal (P&T) Operations as needed.
Major Accountabilities:
· Summarize DOT pipeline safety regulations and develop procedures for field compliance.
· Ensure completion of all pipeline safety related reports.
· Represent company in regulatory inspections and information requests.
· Minimizes civil and criminal pipeline safety liabilities through communications and negotiations.
· Lead and ensure compliance with DOT Operator Qualification Program.
· Lead and ensure compliance with DOT Public Awareness Program.
· Assist in emergency callouts on pipeline releases.
· Support P&T Operation.
· Multi-department interaction on pipeline safety issues.
· Promotes teamwork and LP HSE-MS.
· Promotes continuous improvement in pipeline safety compliance.
· Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
Engineering or associated degree preferred.
8 years of directly related professional experience, with some previous supervisory experience required.
Proven negotiation skill and problem-solving skill leading to decision making.
Proven leadership skills by company peers and supervisor.
Experience in P&T required.
Must have knowledge of state and federal regulations affecting P&T operations.
Must have knowledge in Pipeline Safety regulations.
