The Practice Supervisor is responsible for managing practice functions focusing on operations. The Practice Supervisor assists the
Manager in coordinating and maintaining efficient office operations. S/he performs administrative duties as assigned by the Practice
Manager. The Practice Supervisor analyzes daily office operations, utilization of resources and internal processes and designs, and
implements procedural and policy changes to improve operations. The Practice Supervisor ensures the office is appropriately staffed,
assists in training and orientation of staff members, completes and approves KRONOS, monitors cost of total supplies, performs
performance evaluations, serves as the resource person when the Practice Manager is unavailable, and assists the Practice Manager
with continuous process improvement and standardization.

Administrative
* Supervises office staff and ensures the practice is appropriately staffed.
* Performs evaluations.
* Completes and approves KRONOS for office staff.
* Ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.
* General knowledge of OTC operations/licensure.
* Working knowledge of medical terminology.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, organizational skills, and problem solving skills.
* Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
* Able to deal with demanding work environment.
* Ensure the practice is appropriately staffed, and assist in training and orientation of staff members.
Compliance/Safety
* Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner.
* Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility.
* If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.
* Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame.
* Maintains protocol/processes to ensure practice is compliant with DHS regulations.
QualificationsEducation
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)- Required
Bachelor's Degree- Preferred
Experience
1-3 years supervisory/management experience- Preferred
Previous healthcare industry- Preferred
Healthcare is a rapidly changing environment and technology is integrated into almost all aspects of patient care. Computers and other electronic devices are utilized across the organization and throughout each department. Colleagues must have an understanding of computers, and competence in using computers and basic software programs.
Certification & Licensures
Medical Assistant National Certification- Preferred
Fingerprint Clearance Card application number- Required upon hire
Fingerprint Clearance Card- Required within 90 days of hire
