Job Summary
Leads work group of employees in the production area. Emphasizes and requires safety and compliance with all state and federal laws & regulations in the performance of all work. Develops employees and promotes a work climate where they do their best. Leads by example fostering an atmosphere of trust and cooperation. Openly communicates information to others. Works with other supervisors and members of management to coordinate the use of Company resources in keeping with established policies, procedures, and plant priorities.
Essential Job FunctionsAssist employees when they need help.Walk long distances, climb ladders and stairs, order suppliesManage their shift, trouble shoot process and mechanical problemsWork closely with the Department SuperintendentComplete timely paper workConduct department audits and employee safety auditsGive daily tool box safety meetingsSupervise hourly employees.Personal Safety Equipment Used/Required:Safety shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, face shield, full body harness, gloves, dust mask, lockTools/Equipment Used To Perform Job:Computer, basic hand tools, wrenches, pliers, hammers, sledge hammers, screw drivers, channel locks, pipe wrenches, etc.Minimum Job Requirements
Education/Training/Experience:High School diploma or equivalentKnowledge of materials, methods, terminology, equipment and tools used in the maintenance and repair of manufacturing structures and systems.Previous work experience managing people and maintenance activities.ADM safety orientation and ongoing OSHA required plant safety training.Excited about this role but don’t meet every requirement listed?
