*Description* Supervisor Rehab Pool and Fitness Full Time (Tuesday , Thursday, 10 hour shifts between the hours of 7:00am and 7:00pm; Monday, Wednesday 7 hour shifts between the hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm. Friday 6 hour shifts between the hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm.) Summary: To improve the overall functioning and well being of patients and members with neuromusculoskeletal injuries and diseases. To continually improve the department's quality of care to patients and members. To supervise the care of patients and members. Responsibilities: 1. Performs all duties of exercise physiologist. 2. Designs and implements exercise programs for member after PT or OT discharge or from physician referrals. With the goal to improve overall functioning & well being. 3. Coordinates staff schedule to arrange for coverage in the aquatics and gym areas to ensure patient & member access & satisfaction. 4. Designs new programs for the aquatics and gym areas. 5. Schedules patients and members in the gym areato ensure patient & member satisfaction. 6. Assists in development and implementation of QAI & program coordinator meetings. 7. Markets exercise programs to local physicians as a means of increasing awareness of services. 8. Develops weekly stats which produce management and staff with an awareness of department performance. Processes & maintains staff payroll. 9. Hires and trains new staff. 10. Conducts staff performance reviews. Provides feed back to staff regarding their performance. Establishes goals to improve efficiency and quality of care. Under management direction, participates in disciplinary action. 11. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position. 12. Performs other duties as assigned. Education: BACHELOR'S LVL DGRE Other Information: Required: Must have working knowledge of all Rehab disciplines. Minimum Experience: three years Desired: Masters preferred. Specific experience with a wide variety of patients and member populations. Supervisory experience. Physical rehab experience. Working Conditions: Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity Occupational: Some occupational risk Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort.
