PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

This position installs, maintains, diagnoses, and repairs the telecommunication systems that exist across the assigned CPKC rail network.

 

 

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

100% field position, inside and outside working conditions Ability to support on call operations (24x7 availability) Assist in the support of the data network team to ensure all systems are functioning accurately Ability to install, maintain and support telecommunications systems (VHF, Microwave, and PTC) Assist in the support of installed camera, desktops and printers, and WIFI systems at assigned locations

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED Ability to support on call operations Assist in the support of the data network team to ensure all systems are functioning accurately Ability to install, maintain and support telecommunications systems Assist in the support of installed camera, desktops and printers, and WIFI systems at assigned locations

Medical Requirements:

Management Conductor Program:

Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
