Job Summary: The Section Supervisor works under the direction and supervision of the Clinic Manager and/or Practice Administrator coordinating all front office services for the department/clinic. Oversees and monitors all front office personnel, emphasizing customer service/satisfaction and accuracy. Interfaces with physicians, nurse practitioners, employees and patients, maintaining positive relationships with the ability to delegate and coordinate responsibility. Develops plans for achieving objectives and standards pertaining to front office services. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum two years front office experience in front office clinical setting required. Two years supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Familiarity with electronic medical and financial records. Compassionate to patients and sensitive to their needs. Recognize and appropriately report safety problems or other problem situations as they arise. Able to use computer and software programs necessary to the position, e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access; operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to communicate effectively, think critically, work independently, perform basic math/ statistical functions, manage multiple assignments, compose written material. Able to work well under pressure, problem solve, prioritize workload, and recall information with accuracy. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
Licensures and Certifications: Valid Driver's License required at time of hire.
