The Opportunity: The Supervisor Sterile Processing Complex Care supports the trauma, transplant, neuro surgery and cardiovascular surgery service lines. Under the direction of the Sterile Processing Manager, the Sterile Processing Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of the department operations to include staffing, shift assignments, breaks and lunches. Fosters an environment of cooperation, teamwork, customer service, and employee engagement. Demonstrates the ability to effectively prioritize customers needs by directing activities and ensuring productivity and quality standards are met. Actively involved in orientation and continuing education of assigned staff. Other duties may be assigned as required.
Position Details:
Shift: evening hours-primarily Mon-Friday (1430-2300). Hours will varyRequired weekend call shifts (1 weekend every 6th week – entire weekend-48 hours) - in person response might be neededSupervising SPD for assigned shiftExperience:• 2 years of applicable experienceRequirements:
• 2 years of experience
• Cert Registered Central Service Tech. - International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel ManagementCertified Registered Central Service Tech required or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Tech required within 6 months of hire.
