Job Summary

Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time Supervisor of Supply Chain Management for our Proposal Team in the Bridgeton, MO facility.  They will be responsible for supervising the proposal material cost estimating Supply Chain team, ensuring submittal of a compliant proposal. 
 

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather material specifications and project requirements
• Prepare and analyze material cost estimates for project proposals based on detailed specifications, drawings, and other documentation
• Develop material escalation rates based on commodities
• Oversee the day-to-day activities of the proposal team and open assignments 
• Input supplier quotes, provide supplier source selection, roll up material cost estimates, and provide analysis and supporting documentation for proposal submittal
• Understand CPSR-compliant purchase orders, RFPs, and other similar and necessary documents related to the purchasing of commodities or major subcontract items 
• Lead discussions and provide recommendations on material proposal strategy
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws and regulations 
• Monitor metrics and take action as appropriate 
• Look for creative ways to improve purchasing ability to make contributions to the company’s goals 
• Improve understanding of purchasing relationship to the overall company plans and strategy 
• Research and analyze costing information 
• Maintain current accurate records and files 
• Maintain a database of material costs, suppliers, and historical data to improve accuracy in future estimates.
• Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization 
• Perform special assignments as requested by management 

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field with 3+ years experience and demonstrated leadership experience Demonstrated interpersonal, leadership, supervisory and communication skills  Ability to understand military specs and read blueprints  Ability to understand and adhere to all laws pertaining to procurement, contracts, breach by contract, etc.  Knowledge and use of price analysis  Demonstrated negotiation skills  Strong customer interface skills  Demonstrated problem-solving skills  Advanced Microsoft Excel skills  Experience with Pro Pricer preferred Understanding of governmental regulations and reporting requirements  Self-motivated, dedicated, goal-oriented individual with the ability to know when to seek support when required Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to effectively interact and communicate (written and verbally) with all levels (internally and externally) in a professional manner

The expected pay scale for this position is $85,600.00/year - $122,408.00/year for the state of Illinois. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly. When extending an offer of employment, Leonardo DRS considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position; any Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, the candidate’s relevant work experience, education/training, certifications, and key skills; internal equity; and market and business considerations.
