Supervisor - Tax (On-site)

Primary Function

The Supervisor Tax directs the day-to-day operations of the tax functions, which include responsibility for the monitoring and payment of property taxes as well as management of the tax vendor to ensure SLA compliance, timely and accurate distribution of funds, and managing the day-to-day functions of the on-site Tax Department specialists.

Direct Reports:Team Lead TaxTeam Lead Tax DisbursementSr Tax SpecialistTax SpecialistPrincipal Duties:Manage one or more of the following Property Tax functions:Oversee timely and accurate tax contracting activities for all newly boarded loans.Monitor property tax tracking and escrowed disbursements for the contracted portfolio.Oversees execution of payments for property tax in batch and single processing modes according to the installment due dates for the agency.Ensures each non-escrowed loan is searched at least annually for tax delinquency and that disbursements are made as needed, per applicable investor guidelines.Assist Manager Property Tax in directing analysts to develop and maintain the reporting functions for the Property Tax department.Develop team goals and meet with associates monthly to administer scorecard evaluations and ensure adherence to department expectations.Responsible for the day-to-day management of any vendors assisting in Property Tax business processes.Management of routine staffing, hiring, coaching and personal management, ensuring productive and accurate execution of all business processes.Solves problems rapidly and cost-effectively with minimal disruption.Meet all required deadlines and think outside the box to solve problems.Performs related duties as assigned by management.

Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent, required.Associates degree, preferred.6+ years related experience.Minimum of 2 years in a Team Lead position.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesProficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).Detail oriented with excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Flexible to changing priorities, project scopes, and deadlines at any given time.Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Advanced understanding of SQL data warehouse environments and OnBase imaging system Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills with an ability to present to management as well as work well in a collaborative environment with all levels within the organization. Ability to make sound decisions based upon department, company policies, procedures, knowledge, and experience.
