What You Will Contribute:
 

The Tool Room Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of in house tool manufacturing, maintenance, development and testing activities to ensure business objectives are met, including allocating personnel, coordinating work flow, and evaluating the work of direct reports.

Essential Job Duties

Supervise tool room staff, including coordinating workflow, scheduling, training and performance management. Resolve employee or tool performance issues within the tool room.

Implement and monitor systems for tracking tool usage and maintenance schedules to reduce downtime. Keep accurate maintenance records and history files to aid in future repairs and/or tool maintenance decisions.

Maintain detailed inventory of tools and equipment and ensure proper storage and maintenance. Oversee the repair and maintenance of the full array of plastic molds and metal stamping tools.

Develop and enforce safety protocols for the handling and storage of tools. Conduct regular audits of tools and equipment to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Work closely with Engineering to review current production methods and tools and make recommendations to improve productivity.

Work closely with production departments to understand tool requirements and ensure timely availability.

Keep accurate maintenance records and history files to aid in future repairs and/or tool maintenance decisions.

Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for repair of existing tools.

Assist in budget process for the tool room operations and monitor expenses. Ensure construction of new tooling, new equipment, material and/or services is effective and efficient.

Education and Experience:

Associates degree in Tool & Die making required

5+ years of related Tool & Die making experience desired; Significant experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree

Qualifications:

Journeyman status as a Tool and Die maker required

Previous experience in CNC programming and EDM operation preferred

Basic knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint required

Strong understanding of CAD software and other related technologies used in tool manufacturing and maintenance is strongly preferred.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment

Must be able to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time

Depending on the assigned department, must complete an audiogram test 

The shift for this role will start at 6/6:30am
