About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent Villages, you will have a passion for customer service and play a pivotal role in driving a strong safety culture, operational discipline, and continuous improvement for the Olympic Dam Villages team.
In this role you will support contract business partners to deliver safe, reliable, and inclusive accommodation services, closely integrated with the transport, people logistics, and contracts teams.
In this role you will:
Create a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing, and coaching your team infield. Coach the teams to reinforce and sustain the BHP Operating System, embedding appropriate mindsets and behaviours in our contractor supervisors and front-line teams. Work with leadership teams across the OD Asset to ensure accommodation services deliver a positive resident experience and enable a strong feedback loop to ensure we are continuously improving. Review work practices to ensure best practice and standardised work is performed. Manage operating budgets. Engage with contractors to ensure performance and standards are maintained.
Please note this position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a 7/7 dayshift roster arrangement, with residential, FIFO (from Adelaide) or DIDO options available.
About You:
You will be a motivated and passionate professional who is committed to customer service, safe operations, and sustainable improvement. Contribute to driving continuous improvement initiatives in your work and embodying a safety culture. Be a strong safety leader, demonstrating high personal standards and positive leadership behaviours. Deliver quality time in field conducting field leadership and coaching others. Have excellent communication skills and can build strong relationships across multiple levels. Be able to remain calm during customer exchanges and work well with security and other parties to achieve safe outcomes. Demonstrate the skills to coach others and hold them to account. Have previous demonstrated people leader experience / skills or contract management experience. Current valid manual driver’s license.
