Responsibilities You will be responsible for the management of Arms, Ammunitions and Explosives (AA and E) and other ordinance related items during the receipt, storage, and issue process. You will serve as the Indian Head Division representative regarding Ammunition Distribution and Control policies and procedures and Ordinance Information System (OIS). You will be responsible for supervising a staff who perform inventory transactions for AA and E and other ordinance related items in accordance with Department of Navy (DON) and local policies. You will ensure all assigned functions are executed in a timely manner while taking corrective action as necessary to ensure performance standards are maintained. You will plan for the distribution of workload including assignment of projects to subordinates. You will support a manufacturing organization. You will be required to report to the duty location advertised in the announcement on a regular and reoccurring basis. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower band, NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalent grade level) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing and implementing guidance for inventory transactions of ordinance related items during the receipt, storage, and issue process to ensure compliance with proper storage and handling policies and regulations. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. OR Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. This position is located in the Energetics Manufacturing Department (M), Industrial Support Division (M3), Ordnance Storage & Shipment Branch (M33) of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division.
