SUPERVISORY ARCHITECTURE INTEROPERABILITY SPECIALIST
Summary About the Position: This position serves as a Supervisory Architecture Interoperability Specialist, DE-04, Cat 1 in the Army Futures Command (AFC), Futures & Concepts Center Fires CDID, Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Responsibilities Manage exchanges between a range of products, or similar products from several different vendors, or between past and future revisions of the same product, which include upfront accommodation of data exchange through application of Open standards, common set of exchange formats, common file formats and the use of common protocols. Creates and supervises the production of over 24 Operation Views per JCIDS program. Establishes and promulgates proponent guidance concerning the JCIDS process. Coordinates with J6 and interoperability specialists at the Joint staff level for interoperability approval of all programs. Coordinates with the AFC System Integration Readiness assessment (SIRA) team and the FCC Architecture team. Develops, reviews assess, evaluates and coordinates the development of systems and products with primary emphasis on Command and Control (C2), communications, network requirements, and interoperability required to enable commanders/leaders to integrate and control assets under a common C2. Evaluate program documentation to ascertain program policy compliance and program eligibility to progress through major milestone reviews and decision points. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications This position is covered under an alternative personnel system known as the Army Futures Command (AFC) Science and Technology Reinvention Laboratory (STRL) Demonstration Project. The Demonstration replaces GS grade levels with occupational families and pay bands. The salary range of the position being filled will not be decreased with the change to pay bands. This position, DE-4, CAT I incorporates GS-14 step 1 through GS-14 step 10 grade and salary levels. The full-performance level of this position is DE-3. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Influencing/Negotiating Performance Management Program Management Basic Requirement for SUPERVISORY ARCHITECTURE INTEROPERABILITY SPECIALIST: Specialized and Other Experience: To qualify for the DE-0301-04 position, applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower pay band or grade/level performing the following:1) leading a multi-disciplined architecture team in the architecture development, analysis and evaluation of programs and requirements; and 2) engaging with key stakeholders to support the development of future force fires capabilities products, processes, and policies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower pay band or equivalent grade/level position in the federal service DE-04, (GS-13 equivalent). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Three year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
