Responsibilities Assigns work to and evaluates performance of subordinates. Interprets the contract plans and specifications and directs that enforcement of such for all assigned projects under construction. Manages all real property sustainment, restoration, modernization and new construction projects for the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Directorate (MWRD) at the garrison level. Interviews contractor employees to ensure labor and immigration laws are observed. Serves as the single point of contact and coordination with the Director of Public Works on all issues regarding MWRD real property. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Knowledge of the organization, mission, policies, and three to five years governing project development, design and execution is highly desirable. Work experience managing construction projects. Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple projects effectively. WORKING CONDITIONS: Standard office environment. Visits to construction sites involve exposure to various weather conditions; some noise and dirt. Education This position does not have an education requirement. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
