Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst in the Travel Branch, Accounting Division, Comptroller Department of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will perform a variety of fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties based on the needs of the organization. You will perform supervisory duties to include planning work, setting priorities, and scheduling work to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment. You will perform or advise on work in any phase or system of budget administration. You will apply analytical and evaluation techniques to identify or resolve problems of procedural or factual nature. You will participate in projects and collective efforts requiring the involvement of other Departmental personnel, serving as the coordinator. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience developing, determining, and interpreting the most appropriate principles, practices, and methods to apply in all phases of assignments of budgetary policies and practices. Experience analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of the organization's programs and administrative operations. Experience developing organization structure and functional alignment which will accomplish the assigned mission. Experience ensuring all accounting work complies with legal and regulatory requirements. Experience participating and leading audits, studies, and analyzing organization plans.
