Summary This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Program Integrity (CPI), Provider Enrollment & Oversight Group (PEOG), Division of Quality & Compliance (DQC). Serving as the Deputy Division Director, GS-0107-14, you will assist the Division Director in leading a staff responsible for the quality and compliance surrounding the operations and oversight of Medicare and Medicaid provider/supplier enrollment. Responsibilities Provides direction for the Division’s activities aimed at the implementation of efficient and effective procedures and activities related to general provider/supplier operating quality and compliance in Medicare and Medicaid. Serves as a technical expert and advisor on Medicare and Medicaid provider enrollment contracts, Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) reviews of MACs, Desk Reviews of UPIC and MEDIC contractors, and various compliance initiatives. Oversees technically complex projects and initiatives designed to address HHS and CMS Strategic Plan goals and objectives related to coordinating across jurisdictional and geographic boundaries to combat program fraud, waste, and abuse. Directs the subordinate team members of the Division on administration, including contracts, budget, schedule, risks and other relevant priorities. Assists Director in working with internal stakeholders and teams via cross-cutting measures as they relate to provider enrollment. In order to qualify for the GS-14, you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: Participating in the development or maintenance of Information Technology (IT) platforms and data access methodologies for detection of fraud, waste, and abuse in the Medicare and Medicaid programs; AND Conducting special Program Integrity (Pl) studies focused on cross program issues; AND Preparing briefings and reports for senior management. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Supervisory positions must report a minimum 2 times per week and non-Supervisory positions must report a minimum of 2 times per pay period.
