Summary About the Position: Serves as the Deputy Director of the Geospatial Research Laboratory (GRL), U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC). This position is being filled as a Supervisory Interdisciplinary DB-05 (GS-15), which may be filled under any of the listed Job Family Series. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Responsibilities Serves as the Deputy Director of the Geospatial Research Laboratory (GRL). Aids in the development of research programs in geospatial science and engineering disciplines. Anticipates demands for assets and resources to meet program requirements. Leads multidisciplinary workforce engaged in research and development programs. Serves as the GRL representative on the ERDC Board of Deputy Directors and the ERDC Junior Program Budget Advisory Committee Operates in five major areas including technical program execution, fiscal management (to include departmental overhead), program administration, marketing/communications, and human capital. Develops and implements GRL business processes and policies and manages GRL assets. Assists the GRL Director in managing execution of the Laboratory's program and, in the Director's absence, assumes authority and duties of the GRL Director. This position is covered by the Science and Technology Laboratory Personnel Management Demonstration Project at the DB-05 (equivalent to GS-15).
