Summary Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Supervisory IT Specialist. Duty Location: Lower Colorado Basin Region, Information Management Technology Office located in Boulder City, NV. This position may be filled elsewhere within the Lower Colorado Basin Region: Yuma, AZ or Glendale, AZ. Responsibilities Serves as Chief, Information Management and Technology (IMT), responsible for leading organizational change to implement the Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA). Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating a broad range of information technology (IT) and information management (IM) services in support of Lower Colorado Basin Region programs and activities. Develops the annual IMT Business Plan, the LCB Region IMT Strategic Plan, and operating budget for approval by the Regional Deputy Director. Identifies performance measurement targets for core services, and key short-term and long-term projects necessary to sustain and advance Region program priorities. Provides attention to detail in all aspects and levels of the position. Provides ane ensures exceptional customer service to both intenral and external customers. Communicates both orally and in writing to all levels of the organization and leadership. Performs complex problem solving. Requirements Conditions of Employment You must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National. You must be suitable for federal employment, determined by a background investigation. To qualify at the GS-14 level, your resume must reflect one year of full time experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service serving as a senior IT specialist and consultant to senior management in support of organization wide IT policy, budget and plans for systems development, acquisition, installation, operation and maintenance; planning, organizing, and overseeing the activities of the IT organization and reviewing policies, procedures, mission objectives and organization design for the staff; serving as the recognized authority in the analysis and direction of IT programs and issues and in researching, interpreting, analyzing and applying operations and security guidance. Experience includes, or was supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail; (2) Customer Service; (3) Oral Communication; (4) Problem Solving and (5) Strategic Planning. Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 01/12/2025. Education This position does not allow substituting education for experience. Additional Information You may be required to serve an initial probationary period. You may be required to serve an initial supervisory probation period. Reclamation has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and you may be allowed to telework with supervisory approval. Full time telework or remote work is not available - you will be expected to report to the office on a regular basis.
