SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCPLN)
Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCPLN) in the Information Technology Department (N6) of NSTC GREAT LAKES. Responsibilities You will research and analyzes the effects of emerging technologies on Navy Accessions Training, with a goal of increasing effectiveness and efficiency and reducing cost. You will develop business case to support command IT initiatives and champions them with internal and external stakeholders. You will analyze vendor’s technical and cost proposals and solicitations to select the best solution to command business requirements. You will act as negotiator/facilitator between functional representatives/customers, system developers and other government agencies. You will develop IM/IT guidance strategies, architectures, standards, plans and processes to support a corporate business IT infrastructure. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Utilizing current and future trends relative to computer hardware, software and telecommunications in order to be the technical advisor on IM/IT planning/policy. 2. Developing command IT policy, plans, requirements, and procedures to ensure IT infrastructure supports the current and future needs of the command. 3. Speaking and writing effectively, to address highly complex technical and controversial issues (frequently in terms understandable to non-technical personnel). 4. Leading a team in the analysis, planning, establishment of IT systems, and other related business, management, and technical duties. 5.
