About the Position: The incumbent will be assigned to the 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Supply and Services Division, at Fort Stewart, Georgia Responsibilities Ensure supply and services support is provided to military, government civilian, and contractor personnel. Provide oversight and coordination of the installation's supply program capable of deploying and redeploying soldiers, civilians, and units. Administer the supply and service programs such as inventory management, warehouse and storage management, stock control requirements determination, receipt and issue of supplies, retail and bulk petroleum, and Hazardous Materials. Oversee the procurement processes and controls the use of the Government Purchase Card. Review and/or determine impact and effect of new or logistics regulatory material and requirements imposed on the division and perform necessary planning and implementation to meet requirements. Serve as advisor and subject matter expert on all matters relating to the supply program. Maintain overview of program accomplishment, budget execution, and manpower utilization, and based on needs and trends, recommend, initiate, or take appropriate action. Supervise and coordinate through subordinate supervisors, managerial authorities of assigned employees and provide program oversight of contractors. Provide contract oversight as the Contract Officer Representative (COR) or through the assigned COR in coordination with the Quality Assurance Evaluation staff, including review, monitoring, and evaluation of contractor performance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Leadership Planning and Evaluating Program Management Supply Support Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. This position is not eligible for regular and recurring telework. This position is eligible for situational telework only, including emergency and OPM prescribed "unscheduled telework". Situational telework is sometimes also referred to as episodic, intermittent, unscheduled, or adhoc telework. Situational telework is approved on a case-by-case basis, where the hours worked were not part of a previously approved, ongoing, and regular telework schedule.
