This permanent position is an unaccompanied tour with the 401st Army Field Support Brigade located at Camp Arifjan Kuwait in support of Operation Spartan shield. Initial tour is (1) year with possible extensions. This is an Emergency Essential position. Responsibilities Serve as the Chief of supply support services, responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and integrating supply operations. Perform multi-functional logistics planning, budget formulation, operations, supply, maintenance, training and administration to support the requirements of the Brigade. Interpret procedures and policies in problem situations where operating staff or other organizations seek guidance and solutions to difficult problems. Supervise logistic management activities on material readiness of numerous combat and contingency units and multi-faceted issues of great operational impacts. Provide direction and staff level oversight of multiple Army Field Support Battalions (AFSBns) geographically through-out the Brigade area of support. Supervise civilian and military personnel and provides contractor oversight. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience Coordinating supply support operations; Providing technical and administrative advice to maintain and improve logistics support; Reviewing performance of supported installations and activities for technical proficiency, consistency and compliance with policies, procedures, and directives related to supply support operations; Resolving supply support operations policy and procedural issues raised by installations and activities.
