Summary About the Position: Fort Gregg Adams is the Home of Logistic Warriors, is a US Army installation located near the Tri-Cities of Petersburg, Colonial Heights, and Hopewell, VA. Fort Lee is south of Richmond, the Capital of Virginia. Responsibilities Serves as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist and advisor to Dean Logistics Leader College, Army Sustainment University, Combined Arms Support Command (CASCOM). Maintains the policies and procedures established by higher authorities and broader concepts and practices of the Federal government, Department of Defense (DOD), and Army financial and general management. Serves as Department Chair with specific responsibility for the planning, controlling, directing, and execution of specialized logistics management. Relates educational and training programs within all areas of logistics Active Duty and Reserve Component captain career courses Conducts independent study in preparation for evaluating the development and presentation of educational materials for courses of instruction taught by department members. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:1) providing combat service and logistics support for the development automated logistics and command and control systems; 2) planning and evaluate combat development activities; 3) reviewing and recommend concepts and doctrinal matters associated with the integration of new technology into existing systems; AND 4) performing supervisory responsibilities such as planning, assigning, and distributing work assignments, makes recommendations for corrective actions, and provides guidance and advice. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--NO substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Manages Human Resources Oral Communication Project Management Research Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
