Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Commander, Fleet Readiness Center (COMFRC) and Logistics Branch of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. The incumbent is the Senior Technical Data Lead Logistics Management Specialist (LMS) for a FST and as such is responsible for the coordination and integration of all logistics activities within the team. The duty location of this position is Naval Air Station, San Diego, CA. Responsibilities You will formulate and articulate Technical Data strategies for life cycle logistics support and affordable readiness to the Program Manager and the PMA's Technical Data Lead/Integrated Program Team (IPT) leads and establishes program goals. You will provide technical guidance and advice to the various levels of personnel to clarify and resolve problems arising from technical data acquisition, development, maintenance, incorporation, and distribution. You will develop process improvements as well as makes recommendations to NAVAIR, FST or IPT leadership for improvements of efficiency and responsiveness to customer requirements. You will respond to budgetary conditions and constraints, balancing requirements and resources, and takes appropriate action to maximize cost-effectiveness. You will serve as a Technical Data SME at formal logistics support conferences and meetings. You will provide technical data guidance and assistance to FST/IPT and other team personnel for accomplishment of overall program or project goals and objectives. You will provide guidance in the evaluation of technical data or related software problems that have direct bearing on the aircraft program and advises and assists on the more difficult problems on request. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying the theories and principles of Logistics Management to sustain assigned air weapons system through production (i.e., supply support, maintenance planning, support equipment, contracting assistance, design interface); 2) Interpreting and applying Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) policies to assigned air weapons systems, sub-systems and related equipment; 3) Evaluating logistics program for assigned air weapons system to ensure compliance with ILS practices; 4) Assisting integrated team members in the accomplishment of work to resolve problems and deliver cost-effective logistics products; 5) Integrating and controlling various forms of life-cycle technical/product data ranging from requirements and specifications used in design and procurement to maintenance manuals and parts lists used in sustainment; and 6) Demonstrating the ability to lead a team and be responsible for the coordination and integration of all logistics activities within the team.
