SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in the Support Equipment (SE) Fleet Support Team (FST), F/A-18 branch of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. Responsibilities You will serve as a supervisor, technical advisor, and spokesperson within their program to negotiate, advise and collaborate with all levels of officials concerning their specific aircraft program, policies, and procedures. You will develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external contacts to ensure avionics system program goals and objectives are accomplished. You will assist in the development and executes the planning, directing, and prioritizing of activities and, therefore, must routinely adapt to frequent and unpredictable changes in programs and funds. You will be responsible for all logistics and aspects/phases, from Concept Exploration to Disposal, of assigned programs. You will manage and execute programs within the common processes and operating practices of the FST, COMFRC, and NAVAIR, and track execution of budgets, and expenditures of workhours ensuring consistent application of program across the IPT. You will work closely with Support Equipment FST representatives to identify personnel strengths and weaknesses, areas for improvement, and training opportunities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Formulates and articulates logistics strategies for life cycle support and affordable readiness to the Program Manager. 2.) Sets priorities, distributes workload and resources, tracks resource execution and evaluates progress and accomplishments of program teams and individuals, providing coordination of personnel resources and consistent application of standard functional processes. 3.) Provide professional, economic and efficient logistics managerial services and is responsible for the management and execution of in-service support functions of cognizant aircraft and systems throughout the lifecycle.
