Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in the Distribution Division, Logistics Readiness Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PEARL HARBOR (647th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii). Responsibilities As the Air Force's Installation Deployment Officer (IDO), you will direct, control, coordinate, and execute mobility contingencies, exercises, and humanitarian relief operations. You will have technical authority over Navy, Air Force, and Hawaii ANG personnel associated with plans management, deployment planning/execution/training, War Reserve Material management, and base support/expeditionary site planning. You will supervise civilian and military personnel in the division on a daily basis and provide technical supervisory responsibility as the IDO/IRO during contingencies, exercises, and humanitarian relief operations. You will manage and control the core personnel who make up the Installation Deployment Readiness Cell (IDRC), Deployment Control Center (DCC), and Air Terminal Operations (ATO) on daily basis. You will organize, assign, coordinate and review work performed by civilian and military logistic planners and transportation specialists. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Logistics Management Specialist experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector planning, organizing, and directing a staff to ensure achievement of required performance capabilities, while minimizing support costs, and logistics footprint. I have experience adapting analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to the measurement, improvement, and effectiveness of the organization's readiness program identifying changes and trends. I also have experience planning, organizing, assigning work to subordinate logistics employees. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Directing, controlling, coordinating, and executing mobility contingencies, exercises, and humanitarian relief exercises; 2) Critically evaluating logistics problems to identify the causes of problems, and chooses courses of action that balance the interests of the mission and stakeholder; and 3) Establishing priorities and goals for subordinate employees and reviewing work performed by civilian and military logistic planners and transportation specialists.
