Summary About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located in Camp Zama, Japan. The initial length of this overseas tour is 36 months with possible extensions up to a total of 5 years. Responsibilities Planning, developing, implementing, and supervising logistical programs and operations to carry out Command, Control, Communication, and Computer Information Management (C4IM) support for the battalion and its customers. Incumbent is responsible for logistics policy, planning, and guidance in supply and services, maintenance, acquisitions, facilities, and transportation to a battalion with C4IM assets throughout mainland Japan, Okinawa, and Guam. Supervise, plan and direct work of 30 subordinates located in Okinawa and Honshu with indirect responsibility for four subordinate company and one detachment supply and maintenance teams as necessary, to support the supply and maintenance missions. Develop briefs to brief the battalion commander, director, executive officer, battalion staff, company commanders, higher headquarters and visitors on all logistics related matters. Manage Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP), Command Maintenance Discipline Program (CMDP), Army Award for Maintenance Excellence (AAME) and Supply Excellence Award. Coordinate communications tower maintenance and battery management programs with higher headquarters for repairs and life cycle management. Serve as Access Administrator for Global Combat Support Systems-Army (GCSS-A) for the battalion and supported companies. Oversees the battalion Information Systems Security Program (ISSP). Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by planning, developing, and/or implementing logistical programs and operations; implementing logistics policy, planning, and guidance in areas such as supply and services, maintenance, acquisitions, facilities, and transportation; and assisting with managing Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) and Command Maintenance Discipline Program (CMDP).
