SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST within the Peculiar Support Equipment and Aviation Life Support Systems branch of the Support Equipment IWST at NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. Responsibilities You will be responsible for assuring material availability through the efficient use of resources and inventory management and supply support techniques. You will identify potential logistics problems and take steps to implement solutions. You will formulate strategies and policies to be followed by department personnel. You will develop process improvements to yield cost gains and meet customer needs and expectations. You will coordinate and develop the execution of budget estimates and procurement plans. You will coordinate initiatives to reduce supply system costs. You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates by setting short and long-term priorities, preparing schedules for work completion, and assigning work based on the difficulty and requirements of the assignment. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Broad technical knowledge of supply planning, integrated logistics support, provisioning, configuration management, requirements determinations, technical characteristics of assigned systems/equipment, and cradle to grave logistics. Specialized experience includes duties such as: 1) Utilization and knowledge of Intergrated Product Support (IPS), systems engineering, reliability and maintainability and configuration management; 2) Use of procurement principles, practices and procedures to overhaul, operate, supply, maintain, modifify and repair complete weapon systems/equipment; 3) Applying knowledge of budget considerations to procurement, provisioning, transportation, maintenance and repair; 4) Determining budget requirements for future years while tracking funding for the current year; 5) Establishing and maintaining logistics data inclusive of source, maintenance and recoverability (SMR) coding, weapons system application data, entering ERP data.
