SUPERVISORY MARINE TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST
Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY MARINE TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST in the Logistics Department ofMARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI . ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Responsibilities You will plan staffing levels in coordination with harbor operations, managing barge schedules and pier bookings, and disseminating relevant schedule information to support integrated base operations. You will be responsible for coordinating husbandry, stevedore, and longshoreman assets for visiting vessels, facilitating the development and implementation of harbor operating procedures. You will be responsible for cost control procedures for small boat maintenance, assist in the development of requirements for new construction projects, and providing responses to situations as needed for 24-hour emergency response. You will be responsible for the supervision of the management, administration, operation, maintenance, repair, modification, requisition, and disposition of all small boats in fleet and all small boat fleet support equipment and facilities. You will prepare a zero-base budget and making mid and long-range projections to ensure adequate fiscal support is available to operate in maintain equipment for the installation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector maintaining the fleet of military small boats by managing effective programs that include preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, quality control, training safety, tool control, equipment calibration, and other maintenance management programs required to orchestrate a productive and efficient small boat maintenance program.
