Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY RECREATION SPECIALIST in the MORALE, WELFARE AND RECREATION (MWR) DEPARTMENTof NSA ANNAPOLIS. Responsibilities You will assist in the overall operation, management, personnel supervision, and administration of the Community Recreation to ensure facility standards are met. You will administer program budgets to ensure requirements are met within fiscal resources. You will develop Recreation Program functions based on analysis and providing courses of action. You will manage employees (e.g., work schedules, approve leave) to ensure maximum productivity and cost effectiveness. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Plan and coordinate recreational program activities and events that will stimulate and sustain the interest of participants; 2) Develop and monitor the execution of an annual operating budget to ensure activities and programs meet organizational goals and objectives; 3) Provide guidance on facility and grounds maintenance, safety regulations, and specialized equipment; and 4) Oversee purchasing and inventory control to ensure items meet program guidelines.
