Supervisory Security Guard
Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Security Guard in the Physical Security Branch of the Security Division, Commands Operations Department of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST. Responsibilities You will check credentials of personnel or vehicles to control access to base posts, buildings, private property, or restricted areas. You will screen all persons for proper identification upon accessing the facility. You will perform control desk duties including monitoring alarm systems, closed circuit TVs, telephone and radio networks to support security efforts. You will monitor alarms for the safety of personnel, equipment, and facilities. You will assign guards to specific duties and make day-to-day adjustments to meet operational needs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Performing guard services, ensuring security of FRCSE facilities, equipment and material; 2) Conducting physical security and access control operations to ensure the maintenance of physical security standards; 3) Enforcing security regulations, protecting sensitive government and personal property; 4) Controlling personnel access to facilities as well as highly sensitive restricted areas within the main facilities by monitoring the identification of individuals entering controlled areas; 5)Performing supervisory and administrative duties for subordinate personnel relating to the security guard force; 6) Assigning work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirement of assignments and the capability of employees.
