SUPERVISORY SECURITY OFFICER
Summary You will serve as a Command Foreign Disclosure Officer (CFDO) and SSO Marine Corps Regional Cognizant Security Officer (RCSO) Indo-Pacific Region in the G-2 Intelligence Department of MARINE FORCES PACIFIC. You will develop and implement comprehensive security policies/procedures/guidelines to safeguard classified/sensitive information within the SCI security programs/Special Access Programs (SAP)/Compartmented Access Programs (CAP) and Foreign Disclosure (FD) programs. Responsibilities You will oversee and manage all aspects of the Command’s overall foreign disclosure program as the delegated disclosure authority, including reviewing and approving requests for release of classified military information to foreign entities. You will provide guidance to the Command’s International Programs supporting foreign visits and personnel exchanges, managing visits by foreign nationals to DoD facilities, and overseeing foreign disclosure and security requirements. You will execute DIA/Naval Intelligence/Marine Corps authorities for SCI security program management, developing and implementing security program policies, and overseeing the security program execution. You will develop/deliver training programs and briefings to educate staff members on the requirements, responsibilities, and best security practices for SCI security, SAP/CAP security. You will collaborate with other organizational leaders to develop and implement comprehensive security strategies and initiatives and serve as a resource and point of escalation for complex security issues and facilitate timely resolutions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performance of the following: Managing complex security environments which include creating policies that ensure compliance, adapting to evolving challenges, maintaining accountability, and protecting sensitive information. Overseeing and managing an agency's foreign disclosure program. Developing and implementing SCI security program policies and overseeing program execution. Delivering training programs and briefings to educate staff members on the requirements, responsibilities, and best security practices for security programs. Managing complex international and organizational relationships and fostering trust with international partners. Expertly utilizing security hardware and software that is vital to effectively safeguard sensitive information, ensuring regulatory compliance, and responding to emerging threats.
