Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Responsibilities You will facilitate background investigations of district personnel for DoD security clearances. You will coordinate with Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to train personnel on Automated Information Systems (AIS) use and process System Authorization Access Requests (SAAR) for classified systems. You will oversee the development and execution of plans, policies, and procedures in accordance with applicable regulatory guidance to ensure the proper protection of classified information You will ensure that personnel granted access to classified information have the requisite level of security clearance, a signed non-disclosure agreement, and a need to know before being granted access to classified information. You will develop and execute plans and policies for the protection of sensitive or controlled but unclassified data, Proprietary Information, Personnel Identifiable Information (PII), or Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) You will develop and execute plans and policies in accordance with applicable regulatory guidance in support of the organizations Physical Security and Operations Security Programs. You will manage access control of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities via automated systems. You will develop performance standards and evaluates performance on recurring cycle, recommends awards and bonuses as appropriate. You will identify developmental and training needs of employees and coordinates relevant training. You will analyze security problems and develops systems to solve problems. You will provide recommendations and technical interpretations that affect the level of funding required to meet program objectives in conducting major substantive or administrative programs or services. You will be the technical authority on the development and interpretation of security guidelines, policies, legislation, and regulations covering the implementation of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security programs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-13: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector evaluating and enforcing security policies and procedures to resolve issues, safeguard against compromise, and improve protection methods for a personnel, information and/or industrial security management program. Education Additional Information This announcement uses the Defense Industrial Base, Major Range and Test Facilities direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
