Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE. Responsibilities You will be responsible for the proper planning and execution of funding for financial allocations, phasing plans, execution plans, staffing plans, statistical reporting and activity reports. You will possess and in-depth knowledge of Management Review Controls (MRC) which are internal oversight reviews performed to ensure that Inventory Supply Custodian/Plant business processes are executed in accordance with stated policy. You will identify and implement continuous process improvement initiatives to reduce or eliminate significant bottlenecks or barriers in Products and Services (P and S) provided at their designated location that promotes team building. You will possess strong technical program management within NAVSUP Product and Service (P and S) functional areas to validate compliance with policy and current regulations while reviewing, approving or adjusting priorities. You will analyze metrics and operations independently and resolves difficult issues and problems in the assigned area of responsibility involving supply processes, work methods, supply data management, and day-to-day operational procedures. You will possess strong supervisory duties include which include monitoring and evaluating the performance of divisional level officers and supervisors. You will review the evaluations of subordinates made by supervisors; assigning and coordinating special projects; giving advice, counsel, and instruction to subordinates. You will interview and select candidates for the positions and review/approve recommendations for appointment, reassignment, or promotion from division heads. You will possess a thorough knowledge of Inventory Accuracy standards and policy in accordance with the Navy Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) P-723 for locations with warehouses with Navy Working Capital inventory. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating an extensive knowledge of technical supply functions encompassing minor property management, inventory management, fuel distribution facilities, hazardous material management, warehousing, storage management, quality assurance/control, transportation, procurement, contracting and/or aviation support and maintenance functions. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Technical program management experience providing NAVSUP Product and Service (P&S) functional areas of Hazmat, Warehousing, Inventory Management, Aviation Fuels and Postal Operations; 2) Identifying and implementing continuous process improvement initiatives to reduce or eliminate significant bottlenecks or barriers in all P & S's; 3) Providing leadership and expert guidance necessary to maintain an effective and productive work force; 4) Knowledge and experience of Audit Readiness related compliance and reporting in the areas of Inventory and warehouse operations to include reviewing and monitoring Measures of Performance (MOPs), Management Review Controls (MRCs), Internal Control Aids (ICAs), and Lines of Effort (LOEs) at the site level.
