Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Training Instructor in the Radiological Embedded Branch within the Production Resource/Facilities and Maintenance Training Division, Production Resource Department at PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will supervise approximately 10 Training Instructors who provide training in radiological control, nuclear safety, and related subject matter areas. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and directing a variety of training related work operations and functions, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and best practices. You will resolve work related issues, ensure schedule adherence, and administer personnel functions. You will plan weekly and monthly work schedules and sequences of training for all subordinates. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying education, training principles, techniques, and practices combined with knowledge of radiological control procedures, nuclear safety, and related disciplines, as well as expertise in one or more trades. Experience effectively planning and conducting assigned training projects to increase employee trade skills. Experience with creating a training budget to handle all training needs that arise. Experience reviewing proposed new course material before use to insure effectiveness and consistency with the intended coverage of the course.
