We are seeking a Supplier Collaboration Supply Chain Professional to join our team.
The individual will be doing on site assessments of supplier readiness to meet International part requirements including: capacity planning, manpower analysis, process flows, machine throughput with downtime tracking, tooling condition, preventative maintenance practices and raw material ordering practices from Tier 2 and 3 suppliers to meet EDI demand, quality system processes, KPI documentation, work station environment 5S preparedness including standardized work, redundant shipping packaging availability, raw and finished goods storage processes
The position will require the ability to travel 60% to 80% of the time to work on site with Navistar suppliers. Other than when traveling, this position can be based remotely in/near the following International locations:
US-IL-Lisle
US-AL-Huntsville
US-TX-San Antonio
US-OH-Springfield
US-OK-Tulsa
Responsibilities Leads problem solving activities to look for continuous improvement opportunities with both International cross functional teams and supplier contactsWork with cross functional groups to implement corrective actions to improve supply continuity including but not limited to production, procurement, supplier quality, transportation, tooling, containerization, engineering and financeCreates detailed project plans for identified improvement activities for both internal and supplier action items with timing for accountability (Gantt Charts)Holds leadership escalation review meetings to ensure awareness of risk, review KPI’s, educate leaders on progress improvements, and to request for support as requiredEvaluates International supplier metrics to identify suppliers that need on site support thru reactive impact data including factory down time, truck pulls, expedited freight, and POA (point of application) misses. Additionally, thru measuring proactive leading indicators like backlog demand growing at assembly plants / service parts and where International demand is higher than normal or exceeds known capacity thresholds Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degreeAt least 8 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience1 year lead experience
