Supplier Development Engineer

Responsibilities

 

Ensure engineering liaison between the headquarter (LTS) in France and the suppliers in China Coordinate with product engineer(s) and LTS team to transfer project, technical, quality requirements to suppliers. Participate to meetings and conference call between LTS and suppliers to ensure a good cooperation Review action lists and projects lists with the suppliers, and follow up actions Verify supplier’s compliance to demands to ensure efficient support to Liebherr Support the industrial transfer To support and monitor supplier’s industrialization readiness To introduce LTS industrialization requirements to supplier and implement the supplier’s compliance Analyze issues and propose solutions to LTS Support the manufacturing and deliveries of the suppliers’ products Follow-up the products manufacturing of the suppliers Support the monitoring and quality and/or industrialization audit to sub-tier suppliers Coordinate the logistics for deliveries to customers To be qualified quality inspector to perform the quality control of suppliers’ delivery in partial of working time. To monitor and periodically audit LIEBHERR properties (tooling and components) which will be provided to suppliers Other tasks to be assigned by superiors.

 

Competencies Bachelor degree or above; Master degree would be a plus; Electromechanical field, or material & engineering field, or aerospace related field At least 5 years’ working experience Manufacturing engineering experiences for electrical-mechanical parts is the preference Experiences in industrial transfer or NPI (New Product Introduce) is the preference Experiences in multicultural environment Experience in project and/or quality management is a plus Knowledge of metallic material manufacturing process (bending, stamping, casting, machining, welding, NDT) is mandatory Knowledge of aerospace industry special process NADCAP certificates is a great plus Knowledge/experience of composite material manufacturing is a great plus. Fluent Chinese and English (read/ written/ spoken) is a must Ability to communicate in French would be a great plus Proficient in common office applications; Cross culture knowledge is a plus Able to travel in China and overseas
