Supplier Development Engineer

Tasks:

Approve new or changed materials by applying PPAP and APQP standards during the new product launchesFollow-up supplier APQP activities for smooth ramp-upProvide input in commodity strategy and follow and develop established procedures and best practicesEvaluation of potential suppliers to make specific parts with proper equipment and quality processesCarry out new supplier validation audits,  include technical reviews and assessmentsLead supplier to meet established key performance indicators and milestonesEstablish supplier development programs at respective suppliers with the assigned commodity and follow up corrective actions and results of those programs.Lead cross functional problem solving activities at Supplier resulting in robust countermeasuresSupport Supplier Quality Engineers in 8D follow-up related to specific suppliers and commoditiesContribute and  ensure  continuous improvement activitiesDefine necessary actions for early production containment.Conduct Supplier Quality training at  supplier to meet BW requirements

Requirements:

Degree in related disciplineFluent English both verbal and writtenmin. 4-5 years of manufacturing or Engineering experience in automotive sector and in Supplier Quality areaStrong training and or knowledge in one or more of the following areas; Kaizen, Six Sigma, Lean Deployment and ValueEngineering/Value Analysis is RequiredKnowledge in manufacturing problem solving (8-D Methodology) and manufacturing processes is RequiredKnowledge of IATF 16949 requirements including APQP and PPAP is RequiredKnowledge of SPC is Required
