The Operations and Supply Chain organization has an opportunity for a talented professional to join our team in a critical Senior Supplier Engineering supporting  Energetics role in Tucson, AZ. You will be involved in all aspects of planning and executing the production of our wide range of weapon systems, from tactical missiles to strategic defense products.

You will provide technical knowledge & process capability expertise to improve supplier performance. You will be involved in all phases of product life cycles, beginning with proposal development, new product development, advanced manufacturing initiatives and continuing through production implementation.

You will ensure technical data packages are complete and accurate and that the supplier technical performance meets the objectives of quality, cost and schedule. You will drive Raytheon design requirements to improve manufacturing and quality capabilities of suppliers. You will initiate continuous and measurable design and process improvement of supplier hardware for affordability.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

Communicate and translate the technical data package to suppliersConduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity and riskPerform technical evaluations in support of cost and price analysisManage supplier requests for product and process changesManage product non-conformances; drive root cause and corrective actionPrioritize and execute improvement opportunitiesCommunicate the technical health of our suppliers to stakeholdersSupport travel as needed – 25%

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum 5 years’ relevant experience such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, system engineering, manufacturing & quality systems, technical supplier managementExperience in the following in any combination:  working on or with shop floor staff, review technical drawings, evaluation of technical specifications, and/or working directly with suppliersThe ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
