Supplier Governance Specialist– Salary circa £55,000

A bit about the job:

The purpose of this role is to support the Supplier Governance function providing oversight of the supplier landscape to ensure compliance to the Procurement & Outsourcing Business Standard and to test and provide assurance that COO-owned Procurement & Outsourcing Controls are effective. Any Issues to be mitigated through the Controls framework ensuring Controls can be evidenced as effective.

There’s three main aspects of the role:

Controls, Assessments and Frameworks: You will ensure that the Controls are operated effectively, keeping good customer outcomes in mind at all times. For that you will execute Controls testing and help to maintain Control Policy documents and ensure Issues have been appropriately resolved.

Performance Oversight: Assist in the Governance of suppliers , with focus centred on the Managed Supply supplier landscape. You’ll help to provide oversight of the Supplier Governance leads, ensuring they remain aligned to the needs of the Market and P&O Standard and keep them informed of latest trends or changes to processes and policies. Continuous Improvement: Identify, drive, and implement improvements within the Supplier Governance function. Simplify governance and make processes more efficient to drive operational efficiency while ensuring Aviva continues to meet regulatory requirements.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

Experience of supplier management and governance is a must – ideally within the Financial Services industry.

Full understanding of Risk & Control environment.

Good knowledge of business controls standard and methodologies.

Excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels.

Advanced planning, prioritising, and organisational skills with the ability to be flexible in a short notice – comfortable with ambiguity.

Salary circa £55,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
