Supplier Performance Coordinator

The Supplier Performance Coordinator (SPC) is the service gatekeeper and provides necessary support for Healthcare and Life Science plants assuring direct materials availability, accurate service level provided by suppliers and support plants quality complains management.

This is a pivot role in which the person will need to work with stakeholders from different departments including Procurement, R&D, Marketing, Quality, Planning, Sales, Regulatory Affairs and on different type of materials (raw material, packaging).

The right candidate will be able to navigate through divisional and system complexity and have the capacity to both work on very short term/urgent topics and mid-term projects to drive service improvement projects.

What You Will Do:

Supports plants on supply issues which cannot be resolved by the plant itself (Level 1 escalation)

Resolves and learns from supply issues to anticipate next ones

Support Ecolab’s quality system and issues resolution through engagement with suppliers to work toward successful corrective action resolution and continued quality

Understand root-causes of issues with suppliers and influence them to get the best of it (not main responsibilities)

Escalates to Level 2 when service issue cannot be solved with SPC involvement alone: sourcing teams

Provides support to War Rooms along with sourcing team (shortages, force majeures)

Lead weekly meeting with plants (material manager) to review on going supply problematics, constraints and look for improvement

Provides on a monthly basis a transparent and holistic view on service level to plant managers and Operational Business Leaders (OBLs), provides visibility on operational losses as well as countermeasures, drives improvement agenda and highlight tight materials to anticipate material management measures.

Identifies, communicates, and supports process improvements for materials or services in assigned areas and with key stakeholders as required

Acts as second line of defense (after material planners) in reviewing orders placement to ensure adherence to contracted delivery terms and investigates and resolves problems as required

Drives mid-term improvement ideation and projects across the network in collaboration with other SPCs

(e.g. enhancing data visibility for triple AAAs & setting up process to review KPIs regularly for strategic SKUs and address issues before they turn into back orders, upgrade supplier re-evaluation process integrating quality across plants, materials and finished goods and be the ambassador of it)

Lead monthly meeting with SPC and Copacker Operations Representatives to review top offenders and guarantee the respect of the supplier re-evaluation process and compliance of our suppliers

Lead quarterly meeting with procurement leadership team to guarantee the respect of the supplier evaluation process and compliance of our suppliers

Upon completion of the fiscal year, trigger supplier evaluation in collaboration with the Digital team (all vendors with yearly spend above 2% of the category, and GMP/ISO 13485)

Lead cross pollination of best operational practices across Ecolab network together with the other SPCs.

 

Minimum Qualifications:  

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering related discipline, Chemistry, Business Administration.

1-3 years of experience as a coordinator ideally within supply Chain organization, planning experience or similar.

Demonstrated skills in clear communication and good presentation skills.

Demonstrated professionalism and strong presence in interactions with others.

Demonstrated teamwork and project management skills.

Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Analytical skills and SAP knowledge.

Fluent in English.

 

 Preferred Qualifications:  

Raw Material Chemical Procurement experience.

Demonstrated networking and influencing skills.
