Your contribution for a carbon-free future
As Supplier Performance Engineer here with us, your main responsibility is to foster strong supplier relationships to deliver high quality parts on-time. Among other things, this means that you will:
Drive on-time delivery performance for assigned suppliers and internal projects De-risk new suppliers through technical assessments and development Support resolution of supplier issues and negative performance trends Identify, propose, and implement performance improvements Take ownership of supplier performance for capital projects in support of Västerås Fuel Fabrication Facility.
In addition to your daily tasks, you will also contribute to:
Developing strong relationships with suppliers to drive on-time delivery of fuel components to our Västerås Fuel Fabrication Facility. Learning, applying, and reinforcing Nuclear Safety Culture Traits and Human Performance Tools at Westinghouse and with our suppliers. Managing flow down of Quality and Technical requirements to suppliers, e.g., NQA-1, ISO, Design Specifications, Approved Processes, etc. Performing periodic supplier evaluations, soliciting input & communicating results with suppliers to reinforce and drive performance expectations. Evaluating procurement risk, soliciting stakeholder input, and leveraging tools and resources to develop and manage Oversight Plans Performing on-site and remote oversight of key supplier operations and activities, documenting results and taking appropriate actions Leading supplier development and qualification activities for new products and cost reduction efforts. This includes identification of project risks and mitigating actions, managing project schedules, approval of supplier process documents, process capability analyses, measurement system analyses, input to design for manufacturability, etc. Responsibility to develop Performance Improvement Plans for poor or negative trends in performance and managing those plans to completion. Owning internal and supplier corrective action requests, performing cause analyses and verifying completion of preventative and corrective actions Leading and escalating significant “quality events”, coordinating activities, issuing timely communications, identifying stakeholders, etc. to ensure prompt identification of impacted products, disposition, & corrective action
The role is placed in Westinghouse Electric Sweden AB at the Västerås Fuel Fabrication Facility. This role will be eligible for working remotely two days a week with management approval.
