ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SUPPLIER PROCESS MANAGEMENT
+ Develops and administers the supplier scorecard process in conjunction with Quality Assurance and Product Management to ensure a comprehensive approach to capture quantitative and qualitative metrics while documenting key performance indicators (KPIs).
+ Develops, records, and communicates supplier scorecard internally and externally with supplier contacts.
+ Manages supplier setup, approval process, and reapproval process in compliance with the Quality Management System utilizing the provider assessment report and other required documents.
+ Conducts supplier risk assessments in alignment with product management to ensure comprehensive supply and source strategy.
+ Supports product management team with issue resolution by engaging suppliers on order acknowledgments, PO fulfillment/material yield, ongoing quality concerns, and on-time delivery.
+ Drives supplier process improvement and internal continuous improvement.
+ Manages a team of employees responsible for supporting buyers and product management to ensure complete and thorough management of purchase order metrics that can impact supplier performance. Items included, but not limited to material cost receiving, acknowledging purchase orders, maintaining purchase order details, quoting new opportunities, and expediting incoming material.
SUPPLIER QUALITY MANAGEMENT
+ Develops and maintains supplier relationships with commercial and technical representatives.
+ Collaborate with supplier and Quality Assurance to document non-conforming claims and promote resolution.
+ Drives non-conforming inventory resolution through Quality Assurance, Supplier collaboration, and Product Management alignment.
+ Ensures non-conforming material is documented in the ERP and is managed effectively and efficiently.
+ Aligns with Product Management to ensure alternative solutions are planned and executed to support inventory needs.
+ Recommends quality corrective actions when appropriate to Quality Assurance.
+ Designs and implements supplier audit/assessment process and cadence based on reoccurring concerns.
+ Performs supplier audits/assessments in accordance with the audit process and schedule.
+ Supports Quality Assurance in maintaining the QT9 supplier repository for certification revisions, the approved external provider list, and the collection of environmental compliance requirements such as conflict minerals, REACH/RoHS, etc.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Prior experience in a Supply Chain and/or QA department is essential.
+ Metallurgy or Material Sciences background preferred
+ Job experience with specialty metals is a plus
+ Six Sigma Certification is a plus
