Job Description:
As a Supplier Quality Assurance Technologist at Mars, you will perform supplier audits, risk assessments, and address non-conformances of in-bound materials at Mars sites. You will also execute continuous improvement projects used across the business, with the goal of improving material quality, food safety, and overall sourcing strategy reliability to ensure we provide the best quality products possible to our consumers.
What are we looking for?
3 or more years of experience working manufacturing quality, with sound understanding of food safety and HAACP.Ability to travel 25% of the timeAdvanced training in Lean principles and problem solving.Strong understanding of supply chain with the physical capability of working in a manufacturing environment when necessary.Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
What will be your key responsibilities?
You will be the primary interface between our supply chain and our suppliers regarding all quality matters.Lead several aspects of the supplier relationship, including metrics and data compliance, quality audits, and hazard controls review.Initiate, drive, and follow-up on corrective actions related to materials & suppliers and inform internal stakeholders.Develop and execute strategies to improve quality across both Mars and supplier sites.Driving a culture that is rooted heavily in Lean principles and applying the associated problem-solving methodology across the manufacturing network.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate).
