Job Description:
The Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Coordinator for the Grain Category is responsible for supporting the SQA Lead in managing the quality and compliance of suppliers within the grain category. This role ensures that suppliers adhere to company standards for quality and food safety, coordinates audit and compliance processes, and assists in the implementation of corrective actions. The SQA Coordinator works closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to help maintain a consistent supply of high-quality grains that meet business and regulatory requirements.
What are we looking for?
Minimum
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Agriculture, Quality Management, or a related field OR
2+ years of experience in a quality assurance or food safety role, preferably within the agricultural or grain industry
Experience working with suppliers and managing quality documentation.
Strong organizational and data management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Basic understanding of quality management systems, such as FSSC 22000 and HACCP
Ability to travel 60% of the time

Master’s degreeWhat will be your key responsibilities?
Supplier Compliance Support:Assist in coordinating and executing supplier audits to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards (MQM, mycotoxin management, etc.).Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to supplier quality audits, corrective actions, and quality performance.Supplier Communication:Act as a point of contact for suppliers regarding quality documentation, audit scheduling, and follow-up actions.Project Coordination:Assist in the qualification of new suppliers and materials, coordinating testing and documentation to meet quality and regulatory standards.Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives in supplier quality management, driving compliance with MQM and FSSC 22000 standards.Coordinate meetings and follow-ups between suppliers, SQA teams, and other internal departments (Sourcing, Operations, Formulations, Q&FS etc.).Risk Mitigation:Assist in identifying and mitigating risks related to food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in the grain supply chain.Documentation & Standards Management:Ensure all supplier-related quality documentation, such as specifications, certificates, and audits, are up to date and compliant with company standards.Assist in updating and maintaining Material Risk Assessments, Material Specifications, etc.
